Do LED lights need ECAS certification for UAE?
Yakeen Lighting provides ECAS-certified LED products for the UAE market — ECAS (Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme) is mandatory for controlled products including LED lighting.
ECAS is the UAE's national conformity assessment program. For LED lighting products entering the UAE market:
- ECAS registration is mandatory for LED lighting under UAE Ministry of Energy regulations
- Products must meet UAE.S 5010 safety standard and energy efficiency requirements
- G-Mark alone is sufficient for GCC-wide compliance, but ECAS adds UAE-specific registration
- ECAS certificate is valid for 1 year and must be renewed annually
